Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II on the Multi-Channel Sourcing (MCS) team within SCOT to design and ship features that onboard vendors and warehouses into Amazon's fulfillment network, and to scale Direct Fulfillment into new marketplaces. You will develop cost models that determine true sourcing costs and feed network-wide sourcing optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large systems
• 1+ year of SWE or related occupational experience
• 1+ year of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered software
• 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math or related field
• Experience programming in at least one language

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy features onboarding vendors and warehouses as nodes in Amazon's fulfillment network
• Scale Direct Fulfillment into new marketplaces and deliver profitability levers
• Develop cost models for true sourcing costs across vendor and channel
• Develop and operate highly available, cloud-native distributed systems on AWS
• Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and fix reliability issues
