AWS Private Pricing (AFX) team seeks a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate systems enabling AWS sellers and customers to negotiate and manage custom pricing at scale.

You will own end‑to‑end feature delivery, build scalable microservices, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive integration with Salesforce CRM, CLM, and other AWS platforms. This high‑visibility role emphasizes architecture, code quality, security, and reliability across AWS commerce.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, distributed software.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices and APIs for the AWS Private Pricing platform.
• Own end-to-end feature delivery from requirements to production monitoring.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive integration and data consistency.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, dashboards, and alarming for reliability.
• Identify opportunities to improve developer productivity and automate workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
• Write clean, secure, and well‑documented code with best practices.
