Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Field Experience (AFX) team. You will design and build distributed services powering contract lifecycle management and multi-stage approval workflows for AWS field sales, from proposal to signed contract.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design/architecture across systems (scaling, reliability).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupation experience.
• 1+ years designing large-scale distributed software, tools, or services.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Experience programming in at least one language.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed services and APIs powering CLM and approval workflows for AWS field sales.
• Develop and optimize approval-flow engines, multi-stage routing, delegation, and gate enforcement.
• Integrate with e-signature and CLM platforms (DocuSign IAM/CLM) and Salesforce-based systems.
• Implement LLM-powered workflows and automate contract drafting and routing insights.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor engineers through documentation and pairing sessions.
• Collaborate with deal desk, legal, finance, and solutions architecture to meet customer needs.
