Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the AWS Private Pricing (AFX) team to design, build, and operate scalable systems that support pricing negotiations at scale. You will influence architecture, build resilient services, and own features end-to-end in a high-visibility environment.

The role collaborates with product, tech leads, and cross-functional teams to streamline the private pricing lifecycle for AWS customers worldwide, impacting billions in revenue.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices and APIs with high availability and low latency.
• Own end-to-end feature delivery from requirements to production monitoring.
• Collaborate with teams across AFX, BPO, Salesforce CRM, and commerce systems for integration.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and code reviews to raise engineering quality.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, dashboards, and alerts for reliability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational burden through automation and tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster ownership and continuous improvement.
