Job summary

Amazon’s ACL team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to shape cryptographic implementations used across AWS services and open-source projects. You will own features end-to-end, from design through testing and release, ensuring correctness in a security-critical codebase.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architectures, reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain cryptographic functionality in AWS-LC and related libraries.
• Own features end to end from design through release and support.
• Build and apply generative-AI tooling for open-source library security and CVE backports.
• Raise the bar on code quality, test coverage, and engineering practices for a security-critical codebase.
• Collaborate with scientists, security engineers, and partner teams to land changes at scale.
