Job summary

Amazon ACL team builds cryptography used by AWS services and open-source consumers. As a Software Development Engineer you will shape cryptographic implementations that run across Amazon and a growing open-source community, and help pioneer how we apply generative AI to open-source library security.

You will own features end to end, from design through code review, testing, release, and operational support, on a codebase where correctness is non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of performance, memory and parallel computing principles.
• Experience with full software development life cycle and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain cryptographic functionality in AWS-LC and related libraries.
• Own features end to end from design to release and support.
• Build AI tooling for open-source library security and vulnerability triage.
• Improve code quality, test coverage and engineering practices for a security-critical codebase.
• Collaborate across teams to land changes safely at scale.
