Amazon is seeking a Network Development Engineer to design, deploy, and operate SD-Access campus and manufacturing networks. You will own network design from requirements to deployment, operate post-turnover, and drive automation to reduce manual work.

You will collaborate with product engineering and R&D, translate needs into production-ready infrastructure, and mentor junior engineers across multiple sites. This role requires hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and cross-site ownership.

Formación

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years in Linux/Unix environments.
• 2+ years of large-scale network deployments in corporate settings with hands-on hardware.
• 4+ years of automation scripting (Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl).
• 2+ years Linux OS experience or network hardware experience.
• Experience with SD-Access, VXLAN/LISP or similar fabrics.
• Experience with AWS networking (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC).

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain SD-Access manufacturing networks (underlay, overlay, fabric roles, wireless).
• Own end-to-end network builds for new sites: requirements, design, procurement, deployment, turnover.
• Operate and maintain production networks across multiple sites.
• Develop automation for provisioning, configuration management, and change execution (Python, Ansible, or equivalent).
• Support real-time OT use cases including machine vision, PTP timing, industrial traffic on the same fabric.
• Partner with product and R&D to translate connectivity requirements into designs.
• Contribute to reference architecture and documentation/runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and support engineers on best practices.
