Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects. You will write, review, and approve welding quality plans, supervise inspectors, and coordinate with engineers of record and owners.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years and deep knowledge of welding codes (D1.1/ D1.5/ D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104) with strong leadership and communication. Travel and varied shifts are possible as projects demand.

Qualifications

AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
Auditing fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
NDT Level II or III in at least one method preferred.
Willingness to coordinate with engineers of record and authorities.

Responsibilities

Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects; review reports and calibrate calls.
Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages.
Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; qualify NDT subcontractors.
Represent the company in welding quality reviews.
