Job summary

Serco Inc. in the United States seeks a focused engineer to support Ship’s Control Systems (SCS) and Hovering and Missile Compensation Systems (HMCCS) within the SIT for the Submarine COLUMBIA Program Office. The role requires technical rigor and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S.

DoW Secret security clearance. You will report to the SCS SIT Lead and collaborate with NAVSEA technical stakeholders, SSP, UK MoD, and Naval Warfare Centers to ensure FBW requirements, system design, testing, and

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Time management skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and integration of SCS and HMCCS to meet FBW requirements.
• Lead or participate in SIT meetings with NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD and Naval Warfare Centers.
• Assist in the full System Engineering process for the COLUMBIA Class SCS and HMCCS.
• Identify and manage risks and develop mitigation plans for major projects.
• Collaborate with other SITs to resolve interfaces and ensure timely decisions.
