Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join the Enterprise Transaction Processing team and help shape the future of global commerce.

This role will drive Agile ceremonies and coach teams across delivery, ensuring alignment with product owners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software in a hybrid work setting in Cincinnati. You should bring a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, expert knowledge of Agile principles, and certifications (CSM/PSM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience in agile principles.
• Expert level knowledge of Agile development principles.
• Proficient with Rally, Miro, Teams.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification; CSP-SM/PSM II preferred.
• Active team player with accountability and ownership.
• Strong mediation and negotiation skills.
• Organizational, communication, problem-solving and people skills.
• Data-driven coaching and use of metrics to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Educate and coach the team to use standard ways of working, fostering consistency.
• Provide guidance on Agile principles and practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve obstacles hindering progress to ensure smooth delivery.
• Work with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other teams for alignment and communication.
• Track and report KPIs to monitor progress and identify improvement areas.
• Promote Agile best practices, tools, and techniques to boost productivity and quality.

What you'll own

• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Educate and coach the team to use standard "ways of working" fostering understanding and consistency in team practices
• Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
• Work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Promote and implement Agile best practices, tools, and techniques to enhance team productivity and quality.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience in agile principles.
• Expert level knowledge of Agile development principles
• Proven recent experience with agile collaboration tools such as Rally, Miro, Teams
• Prerequisite- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required; Advanced certifications (e.g., CSP-SM, PSM II) preferred.
• Be an active team player with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Strong mediation and negotiation skills
• Skill in organization, communications, problem-solving and people skills
• Familiar with data-driven coaching and use of metric to drive improvements.
