Job summary

A leading consulting firm located in New Jersey is looking for a Scrum Master to facilitate Agile ceremonies and support teams in following Agile practices. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the P&C Insurance domain, preferably be certified as a Scrum Master, and possess excellent facilitation and coaching skills. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in P&C Insurance domain.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is preferred.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support the team in following Agile practices and principles, fostering self-organization and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
• Identify and remove obstacles that impede the team's progress and work to ensure the team remains focused on achieving sprint goals.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, promoting continuous improvement and growth.
• Ensure clear and open communication within the Scrum team and with external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong experience in P&C Insurance domain and Guidewire Product.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile methodologies.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly preferred.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on removing impediments and fostering self-organization.
