Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Coach to support one or two cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will act as a servant leader, facilitating Agile practices, removing impediments, and coaching teams to improve collaboration, productivity, and delivery.

This role will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to support Agile planning, execution, budgeting, forecasting, and project reporting. Experience with Scrum, Kanban, and Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for one or two cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Coach teams on Agile values, principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Monitor team progress and proactively identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments.
• Encourage team self-organization, accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain, refine, and prioritize product backlogs.
• Maintain and update Azure DevOps (ADO) release plans and Agile planning documentation.
• Perform monthly budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Update project management plans and timesheet task assignments.
• Prepare project status reports, delivery metrics, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration across business and technology teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and help increase overall Agile maturity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and planning activities.
• Experience coaching cross-functional teams using servant leadership techniques.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, values, and delivery practices.
• Experience with backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile project management tools.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT project delivery processes.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and coordination.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Business Analysis experience.
• Experience working in the utility or energy industry.
• Experience supporting technology and business transformation projects.
• Knowledge of project management practices and organizational change.

Work Location & Schedule

• Based in Jackson, Michigan, following a hybrid work model.
• Typically onsite Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Monday and Friday.
• Business requirements may occasionally require onsite attendance up to five days per week.
