Job summary

Magnit Global in Jackson, MI is seeking an Agile coach to guide one or two cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment. You will facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies, mentor teams on Agile values, and partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs and plan releases.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, removing impediments, updating Azure DevOps plans, budgeting and forecasting, and reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for one or two cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement).
• Guide teams in adopting Agile values, principles, and best practices to improve delivery and collaboration.
• Monitor progress, identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments.
• Foster self-organization, accountability, and high performance.
• Coach individuals and stakeholders to advance Agile maturity.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine product backlogs and prioritize work.
• Maintain Azure DevOps release plans and Agile artifacts.
• Assist with monthly budgeting and forecasting.
• Update project plans and timesheet tasks.
• Prepare status updates and metrics for leadership.

Job description

• This position follows a hybrid work model based in Jackson, Michigan.
• Employees are typically expected to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work flexibility on Monday and Friday.
• Business needs may require onsite attendance up to five (5) days per week, including Mondays and Fridays, as determined by project, operational, or organizational requirements.
• Limited travel may be required, primarily to Jackson-area locations.

• Update project management plans and timesheet task assignments.
• Prepare and deliver project status updates, metrics, and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support effective communication and coordination across business and technology teams.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, frameworks, and delivery practices.
• Experience facilitating backlog refinement and Agile planning activities.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams using servant leadership techniques.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build trust and foster effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT processes, and project delivery methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile management tools preferred.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, forecasting, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Adaptability, business acumen, and political awareness.
• Business Analysis experience and utility industry knowledge are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field required.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
• Additional Agile, Project Management, or Business Analysis certifications are a plus.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $64/hour - $85.71/hour
