Job summary

BasisPath, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to ensure teams adhere to Scrum values and agile practices. You will mentor and motivate teams, facilitate meetings, remove impediments, and coordinate sprints and stand-ups.

This on-site role requires TS/SCI clearance and a Bachelor’s in a related field. You will work closely with Product Owners to manage backlogs and drive continuous improvement, fostering collaboration and high Scrum maturity across software development teams in the Northern

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• On-site role; must commute to Northern Virginia.
• Certified Scrum Master.
• Experience as Scrum Master in software development.
• Knowledge of Scrum artifacts and Agile frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PM, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope and timeline, coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
• Coach team members in Agile frameworks and facilitate effective collaboration.
• Serve as the point of contact for external communications (e.g., customers or stakeholders).
• Work with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests.
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to ensure effective team performance.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
• Plan and organize demos and product/system testing.
• Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity and foster a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product.

You will mentor and motivate teams to improve processes, facilitate meetings and decision‑making processes, and eliminate team impediments. Additionally, you will manage project scope and timelines, coordinate sprints and daily stand‑ups, coach team members in Agile frameworks, and facilitate internal and external communication.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Must be a US Citizen
• Applicants must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
• All positions are 100% on site. You must be able to commute to the Northern Virginia area.
• Possess a valid Scrum Master certification
• Experience in a Scrum Master role within software development.
• Familiarity with software development processes and Scrum techniques.
• Knowledge of Scrum artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, backlog refinement) and other Agile frameworks.
• Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, or a related field

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Additional certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, SAFe Agilist).
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Previous experience in coaching or training teams to enhance Scrum adoption and maturity.
