Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master with our client in the insurance industry located in Milwaukee, WI. This is a fully remote, 2+ month contract position.



Responsibilities:

• Responsible for facilitating and improving our Agile processes, ensuring that our data and reporting projects are delivered efficiently and effectively


• Plan and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives


• Ensure that all Agile ceremonies are productive and time-efficient


• Coach team members on Agile principles and practices


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization within the team


• Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress


• Work with stakeholders to address and resolve issues promptly


• Maintain transparency of the team's progress through effective use of Agile tools and metrics


• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of projects


• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized


• Assist in defining and breaking down user stories and acceptance criteria


• Advocate for Agile best practices and principles across the organization


• Help teams adopt and adapt Agile practices to their specific needs


• Ensure effective communication within the team and between the team and external stakeholders


• Promote a collaborative and open environment


• Track and report on key Agile metrics to ensure continuous improvement


• Use data to drive decision-making and improve team performance

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role


• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies


• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, yet able to account for their activity


• Experienced in leading agile transformation


• Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remove impediments

Desired skills:

• Certified Scrum Master


• Experience with data analytics and reporting

Pay range: $50.00 - $60.00
