Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Coaches the Agile Team, improves processes, and facilitates team meetings events.
  2. Fosters adoption of Agile technical practices.
  3. Supports team rules – Agile Team rules are lightweight, Scrum Master is responsible for reinforcing.
  4. Assists PO in preparing and refining backlog for PI and Iteration Planning.
  5. Works with RTETDM to ensure train meets overall PI Objectives Planning.
  6. Coordinates with Scrum Masters, System Team, and Shared Services in the ART PI Planning events.
  7. Works with the teams throughout each Iteration and PI.
  8. Participates in the scrum of scrums.
  9. Builds a high-performing team.
  10. Facilitates team's progress toward goals – The Scrum Master is the team facilitator and continuously engages in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Helps the team focus on creating increments of value each iteration.
  11. Leads team efforts in relentless improvement and takes responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective. Teaches problem-solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves.
  12. Fosters normalized estimating within the team.
  13. Removes impediments to the team's progress.
  14. Ensures team is following best practices like DOD, Feedback completion within Sprint timeline.
  15. Revisits the team Quality Metrics Mid and Sprint end.
  16. Helps team understand and operate within its capacity.
  17. Helps teams operate under architectural and portfolio governance, system integration, and System Demos.
