Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Scrub Assistant to support surgical teams under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role focuses on maintaining an aseptic environment and assisting with patient transport as needed, ensuring patient safety and smooth operating room flow.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with preferred completion of a Scrub Tech program and Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification during the probationary period.

The Scrub Assistant, under the guidance of the RN provides services to surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment. The scrub assistant assists in the transporting of patients.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Education Preferred: Successful completion of a Scrub Tech program.

Experience: Previous Scrub Assistant experience preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: BCLS required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).
