Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is hiring a Scrub Assistant to support surgical patients under RN guidance, maintaining an aseptic environment and assisting with patient transport as needed. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with scrub tech program preferred.

Prior scrub assistant experience is desirable, and BCLS certification must be obtained within the probation period. This role is integral to our OR teams within a large, nonprofit health system recognized for excellence in care and education.

Qualifications

• Previous scrub assistant experience preferred.
• BCLS required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).

Responsibilities

• The scrub assistant provides services to surgical patients under the guidance of the RN, maintaining an aseptic environment.
• Assists in transporting patients as needed.
