Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a Scrub Assistant to support surgical patients under RN guidance, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring safe patient transport. This role contributes to a high-quality perioperative environment within a respected regional health system.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, and preferably completion of a Scrub Tech program, with prior Scrub Assistant experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
• EDUCATION PREFERRED: Successful completion of a Scrub Tech program
• EXPERIENCE: Previous Scrub Assistant experience preferred.
• ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ABILITIES: BCLS required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).

Responsibilities

• The Scrub Assistant provides services to surgical patients under the guidance of the RN, maintaining an aseptic environment.
• The Scrub Assistant assists in transporting patients.
