Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech to support physicians by documenting visits accurately in the EMR and assisting with basic patient care. This role emphasizes efficiency, DOH compliance, and excellent patient service in a busy urgent care setting.

The position offers full-time hours on-site, with training provided. Bilingual applicants are encouraged, and a strong bedside manner is valued to enhance patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required.
• Training will be provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• English language (speaking and writing) skills required.
• Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on-site location.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures, which may include phlebotomy, UA, lab processing, and EKG.
• Ensuring DOH compliance of site labs and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site as needed.
• Maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility for the scheduled shift (8–12 hours).
• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals via Aftercare; communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians.
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment.
• Ensure the site is stocked with supplies.
• Provide compassionate care to our patients.
