Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech to document patient visits in the EMR accurately and swiftly. You will assist physicians with basic care, support lab workflows, and help manage patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Ideal candidates bring medical assisting training, phlebotomy skills, and strong communication. This role offers hands-on exposure to healthcare delivery in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; additional degree a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Friendly, professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including weekend day.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Attention to detail; capable of independent work.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate documentation of patient visits into the EMR promptly.
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and procedures.
• Direct patient flow, manage inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide exceptional patient service following protocols and workflows.
