Job description

Screw Machine Operator

Shift: 2nd, (4pm-3:05am)

Pay: $20/hr. (Based on experience)

Are you an experienced Screw Machine Operator seeking a new opportunity in a fast-paced environment? Join our team and play a key role in the operation of state-of-the-art screw machines. We're looking for a dedicated individual to operate and set up various multi-spindle screw machines in a manufacturing setting.

Job Duties:

• Read blueprints or job orders to determine specifications, such as dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be machined, and tooling instructions.
• Position and secure collets, bushings, and stock pushers onto the stock feeding mechanism, and load bar stock.
• Install and adjust cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements.
• Set and adjust cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cuts.
• Operate machines by starting the cycle, observing the process, and inspecting the first run to ensure the finished product meets specifications.
• Replace worn tools and operate a bench grinder to sharpen them.
• Maintain adherence to safety policies, OSHA standards, and ISO requirements while machining metal materials.
• Carry out tasks using basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measuring instruments).
• Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed and operate in a noisy, mechanical environment.
