Menomonee Falls, WI

Pay Rates:

• Operation Only: $21 - $25
• Setup & Operate: $24 - $29

Work Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6am - 4pm, Monday - Thursday
• 2nd Shift: 4pm - 3:05am, Monday - Wednesday, 4pm - 10pm on Thursday. The 2nd shift has a $0.90/hour premium.

JOB SUMMARY

Sets up and operates single or multiple spindle lathe-type screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock. Machines used include Euroturn ZPS Multispindle, ACME GRIDDLEY Multispindles, and New Britain Multispindles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cut.
• Position and secure collets, bushings, and stock pushers onto the feeding mechanism and load bar stock.
• Install and adjust cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements.
• Secure tools in tool holders and set cutting speeds and feed rates.
• Operate controls to cycle the machine, stopping and adjusting tools as needed for timing, clearance, and chip removal.
• Start the machine, observe operation, and inspect initial and sample workpieces for conformity to specifications.
• Replace worn tools and operate a bench grinder to sharpen tools.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA standards, and ISO requirements during all operations.
• Machine metal materials according to job requirements.
