Job summary

Dixon Quick Coupling, a division of The Dixon Group, is seeking a Screw Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Dallas, NC. Training will be provided; no prior screw machine experience is required if you are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work.

You will support a team focused on precision manufacturing and safety. Responsibilities include operating multi-spindle screw machines, reading blueprints, using calipers and gauges, and performing quality inspections to ensure parts meet

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read part drawings and basic shop mathematics.
• Basic measurement using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and maintain multi-spindle screw machines by selecting tools, adjusting feeds and speeds, and loading raw materials.
• Interpret part drawings and instructions to produce accurate components.
• Use measuring tools to confirm parts meet specifications.
• Perform quality inspections and follow machining processes.
• Fine-tune the machine or replace worn tools to maintain precision and productivity.
• Keep workspace clean and prioritize safety at all times.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.

Work Hours: 2nd shift, 2:55 PM to 11:25 PM, Monday through Friday

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• An understanding of how machines and tools work, even from automotive, HVAC, or maintenance experience.
• Previous experience running or monitoring production or packaging machines in any manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and use shop mathematics
• Basic troubleshooting such as identifying and correcting simple mechanical or quality issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willingness to learn new things and be part of a team
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
