Job summary

NSI Industries seeks a dedicated Screw Machine Operator for its Wheeling, IL location. This full-time, first shift role runs from 6am to 2:10pm, Monday through Friday, focusing on operating screw machines, loading bar stock, and ensuring parts meet drawings.

Responsibilities include maintaining fluids, inspecting parts with gauges and calipers, and keeping a clean work area. Candidates should have basic mechanical and math skills and be able to read documentation.

• Maintain clean and organized work area and complete shift documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Manager.

We are looking for a Screw Machine Operatorto join the team at our Wheeling, IL location. Position Responsibilities:

• Operate screw machines:
  • Maintain proper fluid levels for cutting oils and hydraulic fluid.
  • Load bar stock.
  • Perform basic operation of screw machines, such as powering the machine on and off.
  • Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup Sheets
  • Perform visual inspections.
  • Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin.
• Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation
• Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Complete applicable documentation as required
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift
• Perform other duties assigned by Site Manager

Position Requirements:

• Basic mechanical skills.

Salary Range: $17.42 - $26.13/hr.
