Job summary

NSI Industries in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Screw Machine Operator for a full-time 1st shift (6am - 2:10pm, Monday - Friday). You will load bar stock, operate screw machines, inspect parts, and ensure documentation aligns with drawings and setup sheets.

Salary range is $17.42 - $26.13 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan with company match, and paid holiday time off and vacation.

Responsibilities

• Operate screw machines and load bar stock.
• Maintain proper levels of cutting oils and hydraulic fluids.
• Power the machine on/off and perform basic operations.
• Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Perform visual inspections and document results.
• Keep work area clean and organized; assist with other duties as needed.

We are looking for a Screw Machine Operatorto join the team at our Wheeling, IL location. Please note, this is a full-time, 1st shift position (6am - 2:10pm, Monday - Friday).

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate screw machines:
  • Maintain proper fluid levels for cutting oils and hydraulic fluid.
  • Load bar stock.
  • Perform basic operation of screw machines, such as powering the machine on and off.
  • Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup Sheets
  • Perform visual inspections.
  • Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin.
• Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation
• Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Complete applicable documentation as required
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift
• Perform other duties assigned by Site Manager
