Job summary

NSI Industries in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Screw Machine Operator for a full-time, 1st shift role (6am–2:10pm). You will load bar stock, run screw machines, monitor fluids, and ensure parts meet drawings and setup sheets.

You will inspect parts with gauges and calipers, document results, keep the work area clean, and collaborate with the site manager on duties as assigned. NSI offers health, dental, and vision insurance, a company-match retirement plan, and paid holidays.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Manager.

We are looking for a Screw Machine Operatorto join the team at our Wheeling, IL location. Please note, this is a full-time, 1st shift position (6am - 2:10pm, Monday - Friday).

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate screw machines:
  • Maintain proper fluid levels for cutting oils and hydraulic fluid.
  • Load bar stock.
  • Perform basic operation of screw machines, such as powering the machine on and off.
  • Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup Sheets
  • Perform visual inspections.
  • Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin.
• Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation
• Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Complete applicable documentation as required
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift
• Perform other duties assigned by Site Manager

Salary Range: $17.42 - $26.13/hr.
