Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a skilled Screed Operator to join our paving crew. You will operate the screed on asphalt to ensure a smooth, level, and properly compacted surface, with attention to safety and quality.

Responsibilities include operating screed equipment, monitoring material flow, coordinating with the paver and ground crew, reading job specs and blueprints, and performing routine maintenance to keep equipment in good condition. Night/weekend shifts may apply on some sites.

Qualifications

• GED / HS Diploma a plus.
• 2 yrs of equipment operating experience is a necessity.
• Related work experience is a necessity.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Operate screed equipment to control the thickness and smoothness of asphalt or concrete layers.
• Monitor material flow and make adjustments to ensure consistent paving results.
• Work closely with the paver operator and ground crew to ensure efficient and accurate paving operations.
• Read and interpret job specifications, blueprints, and grades.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of screed equipment.
