Job summary

CMC is hiring to support our steel reinforcement and ground stabilization operations in Sayreville, NJ. The role involves overseeing Mill Services yard activities, inventory reporting, and rail track maintenance while ensuring scrap quality and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a mill setting, strong Excel/SAP skills, and the ability to work in heat and on tight budgets. This is a full-time on-site position offering Day 1 benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Mill experience.
• Strong computer skills: Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Data entry in SAP / QMOS.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with a budget for lowering cost (SAP).
• Ability to work in extreme heat.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Mill Services yard operations.
• Provide daily/weekly scrap inventory reports to Melt Shop Management.
• Rail car management and rail track repairs.
• Maintain scrap inventory by commodities.
• Ensure incoming scrap meets quality expectations.
• Communicate production issues with supervisors.
