Qualifications

• 1 year’s experience in the scrap metal, waste, or demolition industries preferred.
• Ability to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Preform pre- and post-operations inspections of assigned equipment.
• Continuously check the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operational.
• Determine load weights and verify against lifting abilities.
• Safe and efficient operations of assigned machines.

Skills

Experience with Volvo front end loaders

Experience with Liebherr or Sennebogen material handlers

Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

Education

High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience

Tools

Metal processing equipment

Hydraulic motors

Mechanics tools
