Job summary

SA Recycling in Alabama is seeking a reliable laborer for a scrap metal yard. You will unload pallets and bundles, sort materials, unpack packaging, disassemble small equipment, and assist with equipment maintenance. The role requires attention to safety and teamwork in an outdoor environment.

Candidates should be able to pass a medical physical and drug test, pass a background check, and preferably have a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; PPE is provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets, boxes, and bundles.
• Material handling / sorting – pushing, pulling, picking, lifting and carrying.
• Unpack boxes and separate packaging materials.
• Disassemble small equipment and remove bolts and parts.
• Operate/refer to yard equipment as needed; maintain clean work areas.
