• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat and all weather conditions.
• Dependable - shows up on time and stays on task without constant supervision.
• Able to shift priorities quickly and complete tasks safely and effectively.
• Forklift experience is a plus (not required - we train).
• Flexible to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Candidates within 50 miles of location preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures - attend safety meetings and look out for yourself and your teammates.
• Receive customers' scrap metal at the kiosk, weigh it, enter the correct material code into the system, and move it to the right container in the warehouse.
• Inspect incoming scrap and vehicles - advise customers on what's accepted, flag non-accepted material, and take deductions as needed.
• Assist with weighing, sorting, and moving material throughout the warehouse - physical handling of materials is a core part of the job.
• Operate a forklift to move material in the yard and warehouse (or learn - we train).
• Keep your work area clean and safe - sweeping, shoveling, and general clean-up as needed.
• Cross-train in other positions and jump in wherever the team needs you.
