Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Scrap Inspector to ensure high-quality scrap for our mill. You will inspect scrap, test scrap chemistry, and report non-conforming material while following safety requirements and on-site procedures.

The role demands strong communication with team members and contractors, the ability to work in extreme weather, and meticulous attention to quality. Proficiency in Excel and Word is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and walk several miles per day.
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, & electronic).
• Self-motivated and works well with others.
• Quality and detail oriented.
• Outstanding computer skills including Excel and Word.
