Job summary

Steel Dynamics in Columbus, Mississippi, is seeking a Scrap Inspector to inspect the quality of scrap entering the yard and support the mill.

You will follow safety requirements, perform scrap testing, and report non-conforming material while communicating with on-site teams to maintain high-quality input materials. This role also requires the ability to work in extreme weather and walk several miles daily, with strong attention to detail and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication, written and verbal, with on-site teams.

• Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word.
