North American Stainless is seeking a Scrap Crane Operator to load, transport, and unload scrap baskets in the yard. The role requires sitting up to 12 hours and climbing to heights of 100 feet via stairs or ladders, all while adhering to safety protocols.

You will work with leadership to train new operators and perform crane duties during shifts, supporting melt shop operations. A high school diploma or GED and strong teamwork are essential.

Responsabilités

• Loading of scrap baskets with stainless steel and carbon scrap per heat recipe.
• Unloading of scrap from trucks and railroad cars and placing the scrap in the designated bin.
• Perform any other crane operations as assigned.
• Collaborate with leadership to train new operators.
• Perform duties of EAF crane operator while covering a shift (if signed off on by leadership).
• Participate in the continuous improvement programs designed for Melt Shop Operations.
• Follow all prescribed safety rules.
• Complete all housekeeping tasks.
• Complete periodic maintenance check of equipment.
• Assist maintenance with tasks during down times.
