Job summary

Southern California Orthopedic Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Imaging Support Clerk to manage importing radiologic exams into Care Connect and to assist the Radiology team with day-to-day operations.

The role requires handling PACS, Epic uploads, LifeImage transfers, and coordination with physicians. Candidates should have at least 6 months of related experience and be capable of multitasking in a quiet to moderate environment.

Qualifications

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Import all CDs into PACS/CC.
  • Digitize outside films into PACS/CC.
  • Burn CDs for physicians and patients on request.
  • Assist Radiology Department phone coverage.
  • Handle requests for images and reports.
  • Place orders for re-reads, over-reads, and addendums.
  • Communicate with Radiologists for STAT requests.
  • Manage multiple workstations to import CDs promptly.
  • Request images from Radnet Remote.
  • Monitor LifeImage inboxes.
  • Prepare and coordinate images for upcoming surgeries.
  • Send surgical images to surgery centers via LifeImage.

Job Description

Summary: Importing Radiologic exams in to Care Connect.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned)
  • Imports all CDs into PACS/CC
  • Digitizes all outside films into PACS/CC
  • Burn CDs for physicians and patients (special request only)
  • Assists answering phones in Radiology Department
  • Handles requests for images & reports
  • Places orders for re-reads, over-reads, and addendums
  • Communicates with Radiologists for STAT requests
  • Manages three different workstations simultaneously to import CD in a timely manner
  • Requests images from Radnet Remote
  • Monitors LifeImage inboxes
  • Prepares and communicates with physician team to ensure images are prepared for upcoming surgeries
  • Sends surgical images to surgery centers using LifeImage.
Secondary Job Duties
  • Assist the Radiology Technicians when needed
  • MRI Dept. requests
  • QME/IME: Uploads studies directly to old SCOI PACS
  • Medical Records: Uploads medical records requests from film to Epic
  • Dexa Scans: Uploads to Epic
