Job summary

Webasto Group in Lexington, KY is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate daily warehouse activities, manage a large team of Material Handlers, and ensure accurate shipping to production and customers.

You will work with SAP and dashboards, drive continuous improvement, and prepare shipping reports. The role requires experience in warehousing/logistics and proven people leadership; on-site work in a cross-functional, international environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling, warehouse, shipping, or logistics operations.
• Technical knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes.
• Ability to coordinate and guide a large team and communicate priorities.
• Working knowledge of basic problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and logistics software applications.
• Leadership training preferred; prior formal leadership not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse, material handling, dispatch, and shipping activities to support production and customer requirements.
• Assign work among Material Handlers based on the production plan, staffing levels, priorities, and current operational needs.
• Guide the team’s daily work, communicate performance targets, quality alerts, and operational issues, and provide first-response problem solving.
• Monitor the movement, storage, labeling, packaging, and transportation of materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with established processes.
• Control the allocation of warehouse storage space and coordinate the proper disposition of nonconforming materials and goods.
• Support improvements and procedure updates related to warehouse, material handling, and dispatch processes.
• Prepare reports related to shipping activities and issues and ensure an effective handoff between shifts.

• Technical knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes, including the movement, storage, identification, and shipment of materials
• Ability to coordinate and guide the daily work of a large team while communicating expectations, priorities, and operational concerns
• Working knowledge of basic problem-solving and continuous improvement tools
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other warehouse, shipping, or logistics software applications
• Training related to leading or managing people is preferred; previous formal leadership experience is not required
