Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory seeks a Physical Security Specialist to manage the design, construction, and accreditation of the Laboratory's SCIFs/SAPFs in a complex classified environment.

You will oversee documentation for accreditations, develop security plans, review facility sketches, and coordinate with security, facilities, and design teams to meet ICD 705 standards and evolving sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in security, engineering, construction management, business management or another relevant field.
• At least 5 years of security experience with an emphasis on physical security.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of documentation relating to the design, construction and refurbishment of the Laboratory's SCIFs/SAPFs; assist with facility accreditations and government approvals.
• Review, development, standardization and implementation of physical security plans/procedures applicable to all Laboratory SCIFs/SAPFs; manage lifecycle documentation from accreditation to decommissioning.
• Interface with design teams to develop sketches & schematics and provide construction requirements to ensure ICD 705 standards.
• Work with facilities management, contractors, and security professionals to coordinate security across multiple programs.
