Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Personnel Security Representative to deliver top-tier PERSEC support for collateral, SAP, and SCI programs. You will partner with PSRs/SSRs, manage electronic PERSEC portfolios, and oversee training and incident reporting within a dynamic R&D environment.

You will collaborate across senior management and program teams, applying DoD directives, ICDs, and NISPOM requirements, while maintaining sensitive security documentation and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in security, IT, business admin or related field.
• Experience with DoD security directives and ICDs is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in teams and matrix environments with minimal direction.
• Knowledge of PERSEC processes and DISS/NBIS databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide PERSEC expertise to PSRs and SSRs within the Program Security Group.
• Analyze and validate nomination and access documentation for government agencies.
• Develop and manage electronic PERSEC portfolios and records.
• Coordinate ASR training and disseminate security-related information.
• Create PERSEC incident reports and support sponsor compliance inspections.
