Job summary

Simulations Plus seeks a Scientist II to advance QSP/QST consulting projects. You will design and implement cellular to systemic models, translate lab data into parameters, and collaborate with sponsors to deliver rigorous analyses.

Remote work is supported with flexible schedules and a generous vacation policy. The role covers multiple therapeutic areas and opportunities to publish and train others in QSP/QST methods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QSP/QST modeling experience or equivalent skill set.
• Proficiency in mathematics, dynamic systems, drug development.
• Knowledge of therapeutic areas and clinical endpoints.
• Experience with MATLAB, THALES, Julia, SimBiology, Monolix, GastroPlus, and/or C++.
• Experience with PBPK, PK, popPK and/or PKPD modeling.
• Familiarity with large-language models and agentic AI.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Multitasking and good organizational skills.
• Willingness for occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, and use code to build and maintain sub-models.
• Translate lab data into model parameters and curate clinical data for calibration/validation.
• Learn and apply company AI solutions for technical work.
• Contribute to project goals and timelines within consulting engagements.
• Update license-ready models and support QST liver injury model development.
• Combine modeling with project management across software environments.
• Plan tasks and deliverables within sponsor contracts timelines.
• Schedule meetings with collaborators and internal teams.
• Lead presentations and reporting with scientific rigor and timely feedback responses.
• Mentor others on QSP/QST and modeling practices.
• Publish work and prepare joint manuscripts with sponsors.
• Travel for conferences and training as needed.
