Job summary

BD in Sparks, MD is seeking a Scientist II to provide technical products and manufacturing support for the Phoenix product line. You will perform hands-on lab work, test raw materials, and investigate QC issues in a GMP environment.

The role requires 3+ years in life sciences lab/manufacturing with microbiology expertise, strong data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. On-site presence is required with potential overtime. Vaccination policy may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with microorganisms and aseptic technique.
• Background in microbiology laboratory science.
• Understanding of biochemical techniques and basic lab practices including safety.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on laboratory support for Phoenix ID/AST products and broth manufacturing.
• Design, execution, analysis and reporting of laboratory activities to screen raw material.
• Lead problem analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Coordinate testing priorities and communicate status across teams.
• Prepare technical summaries and presentations for cross‑functional review.
