Job summary

AbbVie Immunology is seeking a scientist to support the design, execution, and interpretation of in vitro studies on drug candidates and targets. The role involves using primary human cells and advanced 3D systems to characterize potency and mechanism of action across immunology projects.

Responsibilities include data analysis, presenting results, literature appraisal, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure rigorous scientific progress in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Biological science with a focus on Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Cell Biology.
• Typically 7+ years (BS) or 5+ years (MS) of relevant lab experience.
• Experience culturing primary human immune cells and organ/tissue cultures.
• Experience with complex in vitro models, including 3D cultures.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform biochemical and cellular studies of drug potency and mechanism using primary human cells and organoid/organ-on-chip systems.
• Analyze, interpret and clearly communicate quantitative data.
• Conduct and organize activities and present orally and in writing.
• Read and apply relevant scientific literature to project work.
• Maintain accurate, current records of research activities.
