Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Scientist II for an onsite 7+ month contract in West Point, PA. The role is 100% lab-based with responsibility for executing SOPs and maintaining precise records.

The candidate will use molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, cloning, and related workflows, with a focus on accuracy, collaboration, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences with 4+ years of lab experience or Master's degree in life sciences.
• At least 2 years of molecular biology techniques in industrial or academic settings.
• Experience with ELISA, DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, and restriction digests.
• Detail oriented, flexible, and a team player.
• Onsite role in West Point, PA; 100% lab based.

Responsibilities

Immediate need for a talented Scientist II. This is a 07+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in West Point, PA (Onsite).

Pay Range: $50 - $53.45/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• 100% lab based onsite role at WestPoint, PA
• Carry out standard operating procedures involving basic laboratory techniques, operation of laboratory equipment and record keeping necessary to a research laboratory.
• Responsible for E-notebook records.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; "Molecular Biology Experience", "RNA and DNA Extraction", “Nucleic Acid", "PCR", "Cloning".
• Bachelor's Degree in life science related fields with at least 4 years of lab experience Or, Master's Degree in life science related fields.
• Requires at least 2 years of experience in the application of Molecular Biology laboratory techniques in industrial or academic settings.
• Experience in the use of basic laboratory techniques, including ELISA, DNA extraction, PCR, Nucleic acid gel electrophoresis, cloning, restriction enzyme digests, transformations, etc.
