Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Biology Scientist/Cell Scientist for a 06+ months onsite contract in San Diego, CA. The role centers on reagent and assay development, flow cytometry, and data analysis in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Science required.
• 2-8 years of related experience in clinical research or biotech R&D.
• Current knowledge of flow cytometry and immunology.
• Ability to design experiments and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Design experimental approaches to assess viability and feasibility of new reagents.
• Conduct flow cytometry based assays and data analysis.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and analyses of R&D projects.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Medical Affairs.
• Write and review standard operating procedures and policies.

Immediate need for a talented Biology Scientist/Cell Scientist. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in San Diego, CA(Onsite).

• Scientist III, Reagent and Assay Development
• The Reagent & Assay Development Group focuses on providing differentiated reagent solutions that uncover truths in biology and medicine.
• Teams of hardworking scientists are responsible for initiating and driving the reagent and assay development projects and integrating assays and flow cytometry instruments to create the next generation of research and clinical Flow Cytometry platforms.
• Products include cell analyzers, cell sorters, reagents, assays and software.
• Design experimental approaches to assess viability and feasibility of new reagents and assayst
• Responsible for study design, experimental execution, data analysis of flow cytometry based assays
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and analyses of R&D projects
• Perform data analysis and reporting of flow cytometry clinical samples across a variety of cytometry assays
• Effectively coordinate with other functional areas associated with the R&D activities, including Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Medical Affairs, Business Development, etc.
• Provide technical input into safety and regulatory interactions
• Write and review standard operating procedures and policies for the department

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 2-8 years of experience only
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Life Science
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in a clinical research setting, clinical/diagnostic laboratory, or pharmaceutical/biotechnology R&D environment
• Applicants should have current knowledge of flow cytometry and immunology and cell-based assays
• Proven experience in process excellence in an R&D environment
• Hand-on experience operating and troubleshooting flow cytometers
• Extensive experience with sample prep and experiment design for flow cytometry applications
• Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of biostatistical methods and data analysis experience
• Strong immunology, cancer biology and L&L knowledge
• Experience in development of clinical Flow Cytometry assays
