Job summary

WorkLLama in West Point, PA is seeking a dedicated team member for a 100% lab-based onsite role to support molecular biology workflows and maintain rigorous documentation.

You will perform SOPs, execute ELISA, DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, digests, and transformations, and ensure equipment calibration and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in life sciences with 4+ years hands-on lab experience; OR Master's in life sciences.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques and SOP adherence.
• Experience with ELISA, DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, digests and transformations.
• Proven track record of operating lab equipment and following SOPs.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Carry out SOPs involving core lab techniques, molecular assays, and routine scientific protocols.
• Execute key molecular biology techniques including ELISA, DNA extraction, PCR, nucleic acid gel electrophoresis, cloning, restriction enzyme digests, and transformations.
• Safely operate, calibrate, and maintain essential laboratory equipment and workstations.
• Maintain complete, precise, and timely scientific documentation within Electronic Lab Notebook (E-notebook) systems.
• Collaborate closely with team members to support ongoing lab priorities and maintain seamless daily research operations.
• Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to evolving project needs while ensuring high detail orientation across all tasks.

In this 100% lab-based onsite role, you will apply fundamental molecular biology techniques to execute standard laboratory protocols, support key experimental workflows, and maintain rigorous research documentation. Working alongside collaborative peers, you will contribute directly to lab operations while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience applying molecular biology laboratory techniques in an industrial or academic research setting.
• Hands-on proficiency in foundational molecular biology techniques (ELISA, DNA extraction, PCR, nucleic acid gel electrophoresis, cloning, restriction enzyme digests, transformations).
• Proven track record of operating lab equipment and strictly adhering to SOPs.
• Strong soft skills: detail-oriented, flexible, optimistic mindset, and a strong team-player attitude.
