Job summary

Cayman Chemical is seeking a Scientist I to support LC-MS-based analytical services for lipids and other small molecules. The role is on-site in Ann Arbor, MI, requiring strong HPLC and MS expertise and the ability to develop and apply LC-MS methods to diverse matrices.

Responsibilities include operating HPLC-MS/MS, interpreting data, preparing samples, and contributing to scientific reports and publications. A relevant degree and hands-on instrumentation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in chemistry or related field.
• Experience running HPLC and MS equipment; interpreting LC-MS/MS data.
• On-site work in Ann Arbor, MI during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HPLC-MS/MS instrumentation.
• Perform quantitative HPLC and HPLC-MS analyses of target analytes.
• Prepare solvents, mobile phases, and analytical samples.
• Interpret analytical data and assist in developing new methods.
• Keep complete and accurate lab notebooks.
• Search, interpret and utilize scientific literature.
• Prepare scientific papers and technical reports for publication/presentation.
• Offer technical support to teammates, staff and customers as needed.
