Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Scientist I in Assay Productization to support development and launch of Single Cell Genomic products. You will design and execute NGS experiments from diverse samples, optimize QC assays, and own small projects while ensuring quality documentation and smooth tech transfer to manufacturing.
The role requires a BS in a related field and 3–5+ years of hands-on NGS experience, with readiness to collaborate across Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Microfluidics, QC, and
Responsibilities: independently design and execute experiments including NGS library prep from various samples, optimize QC assays, own and deliver low-complexity projects, troubleshoot reagent and assay issues, support reagent stability studies, update manufacturing documentation, facilitate knowledge transfer to operations, and communicate data clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications: BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or related, with 3+ to 5+ years of relevant experience; hands‑on NGS workflow expertise; experience in process or product development, technology transfer, and quality documentation; proficiency with analytical techniques (qPCR, HPLC, Bioanalyzers).
Preferred: experience with single cell genomics, RNA‑Seq, developing novel assays, familiarity with PLM/ERP systems like Arena, and contribution to product lifecycle or NPI initiatives.
High‑Value: focus on reagent development for NGS applications, early‑stage product lifecycle, cross‑functional collaboration with Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Microfluidics, QC, and Manufacturing teams.
WorkSetup: not specified; primarily hands‑on laboratory and cross‑team interactions.
