Job summary

Genentech in San Diego seeks a Scientist 3 to join the Immune Cloaking team within Cell Therapy Technologies. You will help engineer allogeneic cell therapies and render CAR-T cells less prone to immune rejection, contributing as a core experimentalist.

You will lead design, execution, and interpretation of advanced experiments, analyze data meticulously, and communicate results across groups, advancing immune cloaking programs with robust science.

Qualifications

• PhD (life sciences) or equivalent with 6–8 years industry experience.
• Extensive primary T cell/NK cell culture.
• Flow cytometry (6+ colors) design/assays.
• Proven ability to design/interpret experiments.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret complex experiments.
• Maintain ELN-compliant data records for traceability.
• Present findings at group meetings and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor teammates and foster safe, efficient lab practices.
