Job summary

Genentech's Department of Cell and Tissue Genomics (CTG) seeks a Scientist 3 to apply cutting-edge genomics for target discovery and immune therapy engineering. You will create molecular tools and models to study immune-mediated diseases at scale.

The role emphasizes collaboration across immunology, genomics, and AI/ML, with opportunities to lead projects, publish work, and contribute to innovative cell therapy approaches.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field (molecular biology, genetics, immunology...).
• Deep expertise in immunology with primary immune cell culture and functional assays.
• Molecular engineering experience with CRISPR and functional genomics tools.
• Experience in high-content genomics, single-cell genomics, proteomics, or imaging.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead research efforts.
• Strong publication and patent track record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy molecular engineering technologies for target discovery.
• Interrogate immune disease mechanisms with genomics, imaging, and models.
• Lead collaborative research projects across cross-disciplinary teams.
