Job summary

AstraZeneca in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Senior Scientist to advance Allogeneic T-Cell Therapy Process Development for CAR-T and TCR-T products. You will lead hands-on culture, gene editing, and scale-up, while guiding cross-functional teams to enable tech transfer and clinical manufacturing readiness.

The role requires strong scientific judgment, data analysis, and mentoring of junior scientists. Travel to domestic and international sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience culturing human primary cells.
• Strong data analysis and DOE fundamentals.
• Excellent teamwork and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on culture of human CAR-T and TCR-T cells.
• Perform gene editing and scale-up for manufacturing readiness.
• Lead studies with minimal supervision and document results.
